Love Everyday From the Heart; Talking Heart2Heart

Giving From The Heart Expresses True Love...

Giving From The Heart Expresses True Love Everyday…

We just celebrated Valentine’s Day that is known as the day for lovers. I believe everyday should be a day for lovers. Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” So in other words, you can show your love everyday for the one you love. I don’t liked the notion of that day because if you love someone you don’t have to wait for one day to express love. I will be married 25 years this year, and I told my husband to never send me flowers on this day. I’m a person of just because. If you want to shower me with gifts, do it just because you were moved to do it what ever the day may be. This is my personal preference. I never wanted to be a part of the tradition of Valentine’s Day. I have gotten gifts on Valentine’s Day before but not because it was of that day it was based on the LOVE from his heart. We express love without trying to impress others, and in recent years this day has become very much about reputation. What did you get for Valentine’s Day? Where did you go on Valentine’s Day? If you didn’t receive a gift, it’s as if you are not loved or that’s the impression. Love is not based on gifts.

We know Valentine’s Day is a recognized day that represents a day of love or so we have been told for years. But my take on this day is based on centuries of tradition. I’m not a fan of traditions when it deals with ones emotions or the matters of the heart because of the tradition it doesn’t feel real. Romans 12:10 “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” It feels as if you are playing a role given to you. When you play a role, you are given a script to follow line by line. You start by auditioning for the part while competing with others for this same role. Valentine’s Day appears to be that of a competition as well.

If you have a love in your life, then everyday spent together should be a day for lovers. It’s important to express love at every waking moment possible with the one you love. When you express true love, it has nothing to do with material items. It has to do with sharing, caring, and giving on a daily basis, so don’t allow society to dictate when and how you should express love.1 Timothy 4:15 “Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them.”

Giving gifts to others or the one you love, is fine and well if you choose. But it’s important not to value the gift above the love for the person. While Valentine’s Day is recognized as a tradition, love on the other hand is everlasting if it’s nurished. Expressing love on a daily basis gives you the opportunity to make your own traditions and strengthen your relationship.

Even if you choose to express your love on Valentine’s Day, it’s important not to allow the pressure of this day to affect you in a negative way. The expectations can run high on this day, and many are left disappointed by the end of the day. You may feel left out and feeling sad if you don’t receive a gift. It can become a day of competition for many in the work place, classrooms, and other public places. Love is not a competition it’s a GIFT in itself, so approach it as such. Love purposely as if everyday is Valentine’s Day, now you have made your own tradition. John 13:34-35 “And so I am giving a new commandment to you now–love each other just as much as I love you. Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

I would like to close by saying that the message in this writing is to love everyday. I hope this has not offended anyone because that is not my intentions. You are entitled to make your own decisions, but this is just food for thought. We can disagree without being disagreeable, and I hope this is the way this is received. I really hope this has encouraged and inspired many to love, love, and then love some more. 1 John 4:8 “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is Love.”
