Course Of Life; Talking Heart2Heart

The course of life is for all.

Everyone has to travel this journey called Life. The comparison is as unto a golf course with hills, curves, twists, turns, lumps, valleys, and even a pond or lake. During your course of life, you may endure several obstacles, but if you take time to think the situation through you will overcome. The golf player has no control over the course to play, so there are adjustments that must be made. It’s important to study each play throughout to achieve a positive outcome.

The course is a challenge because of the unknown that lies ahead. So as you attempt to tackle the course of life, prayer should be number one on your list. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Then you must stay focused, and study the process from every angle. If you are still unsure, wait until you here a word from God. This is where you have to let patience have her perfect work. When you move hastily, more times than not you will make the wrong decision.

Since this is an uncertain world and humans are imperfect, you are certain to be faced with some life issues. You should approach the course of life with caution and wisdom. There is no guarantee that you will conquer every course in life, but with patience and balance guidance you can avoid some heartache and disappointments. Listening is a great skill to master, and it will save you time and energy. “Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11-14). “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice” (Proverbs 12:15).

Being a student of life requires a great deal of discipline. If you fail to incorporate discipline in the course of life, you will eventually self-destruct. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls” (Proverbs 25:28). This leaves you open and exposed to every attack with a small chance of survival.  On this course of life seek God in every endeavor of life. “Do no be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).
