Do You Remember? Talking Heart2Heart

Jesus carrying cross

This is LOVE:  The Sins of the World in Full Color: BLOOD RED…

The acknowledgement of Easter is based on one’s tradition, religion, beliefs, or the resurrection. Many enjoy the celebration by having Easter Egg Hunts, eating chocolate bunnies, and shopping for an outfit from head to toe for the entire family. It’s a time for pastel colors, white shoes, pretty purses, and lovely hair-dos for the women. This is the day of the festival as everyone parades through the entrance of all churches to find the perfect pew. The festivities begin with the little ones as they recite their individual scriptures, the prayer is prayed, the hymnals are song, and a sermon about the resurrection is preached. This is the yearly Easter Program that unfolds on Easter morning according to tradition in churches from coast to coast. After this service, most won’t think of Easter or the Resurrection again until the next Easter. Is Easter really all about the biggest fashion show of the year? Do you remember the true meaning of Easter?

The meaning of Easter has come to an outfit, attending church, and having an Easter dinner. Everyone feels obligated to attend this service, the churches around the world has its largest attendance on this day. Easter Sunday is a world-wide traditional service planned with the perfect attire for everyone in the family. Everyone prepares for this day by shopping tirelessly, losing focus on the real reason for Easter. Do you remember the gift given for you and me? This gift rose early Easter morning to the surprise of many, but God in all of his power paved the way for us to have everlasting life through Jesus Christ. John 11:25-26 “Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believe in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe thou this?”

The tradition of the Easter Morning Service has a long running record, but it has very little focus on the main Character of the event. Jesus is the main Character of Easter because he gave his life as a ransom for the world. He took all sins of the world upon himself so that we might have everlasting life. He hung, bled, and died on the cross, then he was resurrected on Easter morning. The Resurrection is the reason for celebrating Easter. Christ died a gruesome death for many lives, and what an awesome gift it was and continues to be. God expressed his power through Jesus Christ, and he extends that power to his children. Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.”

The Resurrection and the life..

THE RESURRECTION:  THE PICTURE OF HOPE AT ITS BEST.

Easter is a reminder of Christ Jesus rising from the dead, and the mighty power of the Resurrection. The Resurrection is the power of God and all his might. When Jesus yielded his spirit, he went to hell and conquered death. Revelation “I am he that lives, and was dead; and , behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” This resurrected power stripped Satan of all power, and that power and authority has been given unto the children of God. Philippians 3:10 “I want to know Christ–yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.”

So the “Resurrection of Jesus Christ” on Easter is an ongoing gift that is a constant reminder on a daily basis, so why has the Easter Resurrection been reduced to mere fashion and colored eggs? God gave the very best gift, he gave his son. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  The Resurrection gives the world hope in knowing Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, and makes intercession on our behalf. This is clear that we to will be raised from the dead and live forever.
