Embracing Our Differences; Talking Heart2Heart

Embracing Our Differences, opens the door of opportunities...

Embracing Our Differences, opens the door of opportunities as a nation...

We are One people, One nation, under One God. We all were made in the image of the same God. It wasn’t a White image for the White people, or a Black image for the Black people, or a Hispanic image for the Hispanic people, or an Indian image for the Indian people and so on. Genesis 1:26 “And God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creep upon the earth.” We were created by the one and only Almighty God, yet we struggle to live in unity. He breathed the same breath into all of us, and we all bleed the same red blood. Based on this alone we are more alike than we are different. If we embrace our differences and respect others for being different, we open ourselves up to a whole new world and limitless adventures because of our differences.

We have different cultures, different personalities, different views or perspectives, but that’s the beauty of it all. The differences show the uniqueness of us as a people. Embracing our differences is an art that can only be appreciated in America because it offers a platform which allows you to be expressive in every sense of the word. With that being said, we must embrace our differences, and respect others because this allows each of us to share our individuality. This is the very essences of who and what America was founded upon. America offers the freedom to express who you are without the threat of punishment and that’s the awesomeness of the American way.

Is unity possible when we bring all of our differences to the table? I say yes because it’s our differences that broadens our possibilities as a nation. This can only be done by a selfless nation. In other words, a people with the ability focus on the good of the nation and not on one person. We must have a common goal and set aside individual agendas or the agendas of a certain group. We can use our differences as a resource because there is power in numbers. When you embrace differences and show respect, it makes way for a more pleasant atmosphere with the aroma of success on the rise.

When we embrace our differences, it shows the strength and power we have as a nation. So it’s definitely possible for us to dwell in unity as the animals did on Noah’s ark. When Noah built the ark, he was instructed by God to take 2 of every living creature upon the ark including his family. Genesis 7-9 “And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creep upon the earth. There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and female, as God had commanded Noah.” There was every species represented on the ark dwelling together for forty days and forty nights. I’m sure there were differences among them, and somehow the animals understood the importance of showing respect for their fellow animal. This is implied because the bible doesn’t state any deaths among the ark during the journey. If animals can live together in unity, then the human race is surely capable of much more.
