A Hidden Culprit; Talking Heart2Heart

A Hidden Culprit

A Hidden Culprit Seeks Whom He May Devour..

Life has a way of shaking you to the core with overwhelming issues like grief, sadness, and disappointments just to name a few. No one is exempt from this journey called life, yet it can be quite different from others. This is based on your thoughts, decisions, and actions. Have you ever wondered how your life ended up in its present state? Have you ever tried to retrace the steps you took to arrive at this point in your life? I’m willing to bet you that a hidden culprit is in the mix. This culprit is your tongue.

Many fail to recognize the power in which the tongue has, and how it determines your destiny. This culprit is overlooked because it’s such a small member of the body. The amount of damage is enormous compared to its size. Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue can bring death or life, those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” You have the power to bring peace and joy or destruction in your life by what you say. Many times you may feel that your struggle in life just won’t end, and you can’t seem to get out of the pit. Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

You have authority over this mysterious culprit, so take control of your tongue with direct thought. When you direct your thoughts, you give them purpose. Think about what you want to occur in your life and only say it. This is how you control your tongue, and you make it line up with the word of God. This concealed culprit has a mind of its own, but it will only do what you allow. James 1:26 “If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.”

This secret culprit wants to bring fear and destruction upon you, and the desire is to enter through your tongue. The opposite of faith is fear, and you power both of them with your words. Job said it best. Job 3:25 “For the thing which I greatly feared has come upon me and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” In other words, what Job was saying eventually showed up in his life by the power of his words. How will you defeat this hidden culprit?
