Gift of Love; Talking Heart2Heart

This is the Christmas season with the beautiful lights shining brightly during the night, and the lovely Christmas songs constantly playing everywhere you go. The beginning of Christmas is Christ who is the gift of love. Unfortunately, the real Christmas has been buried in an overbearing spirit of materialistic items. Many rush to buy the latest toy or the hottest electronic for their kids. When these items are purchased, it’s with the knowledge of knowing you can’t afford such items. But the pressure of trying to live above your means gets the best of you.

The true meaning of Christmas is misrepresented in our society. Christmas is the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ’s birth, held on December 25, but the world has gotten away from the true meaning of Christmas. Christ was born to bring the world hope, joy, peace and comfort. God gave the world this magnificent gift of love wrapped into his son Jesus on Christmas day, so we need to celebrate the truth in the meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is not about presents, toys, lights, cards, stockings, or even the Christmas tree. It’s the gift of compassion for a dying world without any regards for the life of his only begotten son. He sent his son to save us, so that we may live. Christ means the “anointed one” or “the Lord’s anointed” which was used to refer to a King. Well, Jesus is our King, and he is Lord of Lord. Christ is the chosen King by our God, and he walked and operated as a man in the earth. The seed was planted in the womb of a chosen woman to carry this gift of love. He is the son of God, but born from the womb of a woman by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost.

In this Christmas season remember the truth as it is written in (Isaiah 9:6-7) For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

God gave the world the greatest gift of adoration for Christmas, his son Jesus Christ. So he should be at the center of the celebration of Christmas. It’s the time of reflecting on the love Christ brought into the earth at his birth. Christ is the light that forever shines upon us to remind us of hope. This Christmas can be a new beginning for you by receiving Christ into your heart, and you can rest in the joy and peace he gives. He gives peace that surpasses all understanding. The gift of love will be with you forever, so you don’t have to wait until Christmas to receive gifts.

During this time of year it’s easy to lose focus, with so many commercials and advertisements of products. It’s important to remember the Christ in Christmas because he gave the gift of charity to all the world. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish but shall have eternal life. I hope this will be a Christmas to remember as you share the love of Christ this Christmas. John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Christmas is celebrated by many in the traditional way of decorating Christmas trees with lights, and giving gifts to others. It’s fine to have a traditional Christmas as long as the focus is on the Christ and not the gifts under the tree. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
